VELUX Touch FAQ

Q. Why is the VELUX Touch screen not responding when it's on? A. The VELUX Touch uses e-ink that remains on the screen even when the battery is depleted, which is why the remote may appear to be on when it isnt. To resolve this, simply replace the batteries. Q. Can I store the VELUX Touch in a drawer and use it when needed? A. No, it is not recommended. The Touch has a proximity sensor that detects objects within 8 inches. If it senses a drawer or any other object, it will activate and drain the battery prematurely. Q. How do I check the battery level on my Touch? A. To check the battery level, go to Settings, tap the next arrow, and click the Info (i) icon. The battery level is displayed on that page. Q. Can I place the Touch on a countertop in an upright position? A. No, it is not advisable. The VELUX Touch is built with a proximity sensor that detects objects within 8 inches, including the flat surface underneath it. This will activate the VELUX Touch and deplete the battery prematurely. Q. I'm experiencing inconsistent wake-up response from the VELUX Touch. What should I do? A. To wake up the VELUX Touch consistently, activate the motion sensor by using your hand or another object. Wait briefly until the boxes around the icons disappear, indicating that the remote is ready for input.
